Job description
As a Security Officer Access Control in Verdi, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, support badge access procedures, and conduct routine patrols. In this highly visible role, you will help to deter security-related incidents while delivering exceptional customer service and communication. - Provide customer service to all visitors, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control duties, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and help to deter unauthorized access to the location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting security-related concerns and notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, production areas, and perimeter, noting unusual activity and/or conditions in the manufacturing location.
- Maintain accurate access logs, visitor records, and other required reports while following site policies and security-related procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
