Card Access Specialist โ€“ Badge Operations


Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Card Access Specialist to support badge operations and physical access management. The primary responsibility of this role is to process, print, and prepare employee access badges accurately and efficiently while ensuring all requests meet company security requirements, photo standards, and access control procedures.


Key Responsibilities

  • Print employee access badges in accordance with established badge operations procedures and service-level expectations.
  • Review badge requests for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with company photo and identification standards.
  • Validate employee and contractor badge information, including badge type, template selection, and required profile details.
  • Operate badge printing equipment, supplies, and related systems to produce high-quality access credentials.
  • Record badge serial numbers and confirm that printed badge details match the system record before approval or shipment.
  • Prepare badges for pick-up, shipping, or distribution based on operational requirements.
  • Return or reject incomplete or non-compliant badge requests and communicate required corrections to the appropriate requestor or support team.
  • Maintain accurate records of badge production activity, inventory usage, and completed requests.
  • Support daily badge production queues, print blitzes, and other time-sensitive access badge processing needs.


Required Qualifications

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow documented procedures consistently.
  • Experience working with access control, badge management, security operations, administrative processing, or a related operational support function.
  • Ability to handle confidential employee information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Basic proficiency with computer systems, work queues, spreadsheets, email, and office productivity tools.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage repetitive, high-volume work accurately.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with team members and business partners.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience printing employee badges, access cards, identification cards, or secure credentials.
  • Familiarity with physical access systems, badge request workflows, or access management platforms.
  • Experience supporting corporate security, facilities, workplace services, or identity and access management operations.
  • Comfort working with badge printers, card stock, ribbon, film, lanyards, and other badge-related supplies.
  • Experience reviewing badge photos or employee profile data for compliance with established standards.
