Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Access Control Operations in Waynesboro, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a food and beverage location, you will manage badge access, monitor alarm panels, and help maintain a secure, welcoming environment for employees and visitors. You will use computer or tablet-based systems, provide outstanding customer service, and communicate clearly while supporting daily operations. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

  • Access Control/Badge Experience (B201)Candidates should have prior experience with access control systems and badge management. This includes familiarity with issuing, tracking, and managing access badges for employees and visitors.

  • Alarm Panel Experience (B202)Candidates must demonstrate experience with alarm panel systems. This includes knowledge of alarm activation, deactivation, and troubleshooting procedures.

  • Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet (B204)Candidates should be proficient in using computers or tablets for daily tasks. This includes familiarity with basic software applications, email communication, and data entry.

  • Customer Service Experience (B219)Candidates must possess strong customer service skills. This includes experience in handling customer inquiries, resolving issues, and providing a positive customer experience.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access control policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage location.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, maintain entry records, and assist with controlling access to restricted areas.
  • Respond to access control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, facility areas, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity, unsecured doors, and potential security-related concerns.
  • Prepare clear and accurate reports of incidents, access-related activity, and observations, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control/badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
