Job description

Centerline is hiring for a Tower Technician. The Tower Technician will be responsible for the performance of various construction tasks in the areas of tower erection, coaxial cable and antenna installation, antenna mount installation, RF testing and troubleshooting. This position is for candidates with experience in cellular construction. Technicians will be required to perform the majority of elevated construction activity and may be asked to supervise entry level techs at elevation. Candidate may be located in Charlotte, North Carolina or Augusta, GA regions.

What You Will Do:

  • Installation and maintenance of mounts, platforms, antennas, RRU’s, TMA, and other related equipment on towers, rooftops, and other structures to expand and upgrade cellular networks.
  • Installation and maintenance of coaxial and DC power/fiber optic transmission lines.
  • Assist with testing of new and existing equipment. May include sweep, PIM, or fiber testing.
  • Installation of ice bridges, cable trays, equipment pads, racks, and platforms.
  • Installation of underground and in building conduits for electrical and back haul circuits.
  • Learn and incorporate climbing and work safety requirements.
  • Work as a team to function as part of a 3-4-man crew.
  • Other duties as required

What You Will Need:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in cellular construction
  • Ability to work reliably under minimal supervision.
  • Valid and active driver's license that is insurable according to the standards of the company.
  • Excellent physical conditioning and stamina.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions; including but not limited to snow, rain and varying temperatures.
  • Ability to read, comprehend and carry out written and verbal instructions.
  • Observe all company procedures and safety rules.
