Job description

Primary Responsibilities of Mechanical EngineerDocumentation & Standards: Creating and maintaining detailed work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), process flow charts, and processing engineering change orders. Proficient with Autodesk Inventor and Microsoft Office software preferred. Process Improvement & Development: Designing new production methods, optimizing existing workflows, and implementing technologies to increase efficiency and lower costs.Collaboration with suppliers for test tooling.ERP entry for ordering materials as needed.Epicor Kinetic software knowledge preferred. Production Support & Troubleshooting: Resolving daily operational, software, or hardware problems on the factory floor, including troubleshooting, repairing, or redesigning equipment.Layout & Equipment Planning: Designing efficient plant layouts and evaluating/purchasing of new equipment.Lean Manufacturing: Actively participating in or leading continuous improvement projects, such as 5S, Preventative Maintenance Scheduling, and Value Stream Mapping.Training & Collaboration: Training production personnel on new processes, and working with design engineers, technicians, and vendors to resolve issues. Quality Control Support: Assist Quality Manager with troubleshooting production issues, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing quality standards to minimize defects.
