Job Summary:
Assists with accurately entering CPT codes from encounters forms, electronic or paper. Enter charge corrections based on coder review of documentation.
Job Description:
Assists with reconciling patient lists from reports/worklists to track that charges are obtained for each service rendered. Reports back to providers and/or administrators regarding missing or incomplete information
Accurately data enters CPT codes into clinical information systems based on codes received from others - providers or certified coders
Update Charge Error Worklist to assure accuracy of charges processed
Develop skills to provide cross coverage for all charge entry locations
