Job description

We are looking for a dependable Accounting Specialist to join a hospitality organization in Bella Vista, Arkansas. This is a Long-term Contract, part-time, on-site opportunity offering up to 28 hours per week and a chance to contribute to core accounting operations in a collaborative office setting. The person in this role will help keep financial records accurate, support monthly close activities, and work with internal teams and vendors to ensure timely processing and strong administrative organization.
Responsibilities:
• Manage invoice intake, review supporting documents, and enter payment details with a high level of accuracy.
• Coordinate vendor payment activities by preparing check and electronic disbursements in accordance with established schedules and procedures.
• Assign recurring charges to the correct accounts and help maintain consistency across accounting records.
• Contribute to month-end tasks by assisting with reconciliations, financial support schedules, and routine reporting needs.
• Maintain well-organized digital accounting files, including scanned records and other supporting documentation for audit readiness.
• Address questions related to accounting transactions from departments and outside partners in a thorough and timely manner.
• Provide assistance with inventory-related accounting processes and related recordkeeping activities.
• Offer coverage and administrative support for other accounting team members as business needs require.• Experience supporting accounting operations such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, bookkeeping, or general ledger activities.
• Working knowledge of fundamental accounting practices and the ability to apply them in day-to-day transaction processing.
• Strong attention to detail with a consistent focus on accuracy in data entry, coding, and reconciliation work.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and comfort using accounting platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
• Ability to organize multiple tasks effectively, meet deadlines, and follow established procedures with minimal oversight.
• Clear communication skills and a detail-oriented approach when working with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
• Capability to work successfully in an on-site team environment on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
