Position Summary

The Community Outreach Coordinator is responsible for promoting Malibu Jack's in the local community, building relationships with schools, businesses, organizations, and community partners, and generating new opportunities for group events, birthday parties, field trips, fundraisers, corporate outings, and other revenue-driving experiences. This role reports directly to the Regional Outreach Manager and supports the park management organization by partnering closely with the Groups amp; Party Coordinator, General Manager, Marketing, and corporate sales/outreach support teams. The Community Outreach Coordinator represents Malibu Jack's outside the four walls of the park, helping turn community relationships into booked events, repeat visits, and positive brand awareness. Consistent use of Asana, approved lead tracking tools, company communication systems, and current promotional materials is considered an essential part of this role.

What You’ll Do

Community-Focused Sales amp; Business Development

  • Proactively reach out to local schools, businesses, churches, and community organizations to promote Malibu Jack’s as the go-to destination for group events
  • Conduct in-person visits, presentations, and facility tours to showcase group event options and party packages
  • Generate, manage, and follow up on new leads to book corporate events, fundraisers, field trips, and other group outings
  • Maintain organized tracking of all leads, communications, and opportunities to ensure a seamless sales process

Relationship Building amp; Community Engagement

  • Build and nurture positive, long-term relationships with community leaders, educators, and business contacts

  • Represent Malibu Jack’s at local networking events, festivals, expos, and community programs

  • Support sponsorships and partnerships that increase brand awareness and drive repeat business

Support amp; Collaboration

  • Assist with selected promotional initiatives and community events as needed

  • Share insights and ideas to help expand community outreach and grow group sales

  • Work collaboratively with park teams to ensure outstanding guest experiences during events

Qualifications amp; Skills

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

  • High school diploma or GED required; equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be considered.

  • Previous experience in community outreach, outside sales, event coordination, customer service, hospitality, entertainment, family entertainment, or local business development preferred.

  • Proven ability to generate leads, build relationships, follow up consistently, and support revenue-driving opportunities.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to represent Malibu Jack's warmly and professionally in the community.

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple contacts, leads, events, deadlines, and follow-up needs at the same time.

  • Strong customer service focus with a genuine passion for creating exceptional experiences for families, schools, businesses, and community groups.

  • Self-starter with a results-driven mindset who takes initiative in the field and follows through without needing to be reminded.

  • Comfortable using Asana, Google Workspace, spreadsheets, email platforms, lead tracking tools, phone systems, and company communication systems.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with park leadership, Groups amp; Party Coordinator, Marketing, Operations, and corporate support teams.

Work Environment amp; Travel

  • Park-based role with regular local travel for school visits, business outreach, networking events, community events, and partnership development.

  • Regular communication with park leadership, department coordinators, corporate support teams, guests, and community partners.

  • Some evening, weekend, holiday, or peak-period availability may be needed to support community events, school events, promotional opportunities, or high-value group opportunities.

  • Fast-paced, guest-facing, and community-facing environment requiring professionalism, organization, and flexibility.

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, communicate by phone and email, use computer-based systems, travel locally, and participate in meetings, community events, and onsite operational walkthroughs as needed. Must be able to stand for extended periods during events or outreach activities and lift up to 40 lbs. unaided when handling outreach materials, event supplies, or promotional items.
