Location: GA-Atlanta

Job Title:  Anchor/Reporter - Atlanta Radio

Position Overview

Cox Media Group in Atlanta is seeking a strategic, innovative, team-oriented, and passionate journalist to be an anchor/reporter. This person will also serve as a content editor. This opportunity is for an experienced on-air talent and leader who possesses a passion for local news along with the highest standards for producing unbiased and impactful reporting for our audience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Ability to conduct live and/or taped interviews
  • Write and track story wraps
  • Ability to anchor live coverage of breaking news and/or special coverage
  • Work with reporters on stories and serve as a content editor
  • Excellent communication, organization, judgement and writing skills
  • Be consistently up to date on local, national and international stories
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Coordinate with digital team to integrate reporter content to digital and social platforms
Minimum Qualifications
  • At least three years of anchoring and reporting experience
  • Strong writing and editorial skills
  • Bachelor's Degree required (Journalism, English or Communications preferred)
  • Must be willing to work a schedule that includes holidays and non-traditional work hours
  • Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record
