Senior Manager, Enterprise Solutions

Job Description

Arnold is seeking a Senior Manager, Enterprise Solutions to lead and evolve the Enterprise Solutions function into a more business-focused capability that partners with business leaders to improve processes, enable better outcomes, and maximize the value of technology and data.

The Senior Manager will develop strong working relationships with Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Sales, Finance, and other business functions, translating business needs into effective solutions while leading the Enterprise Solutions team and application portfolio. The role operates within the strategic direction established by the SLT and Director of IT and is responsible for translating that direction into effective business solutions, process improvements, technology capabilities, and execution.

The role combines business engagement, solution leadership, application management, implementation support, process improvement, data governance coordination, and team leadership. The ideal candidate is a strong business partner who can challenge existing processes, establish best practices, coordinate cross-functional execution, and ensure solutions deliver measurable business value.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Management

  • Lead and mentor the Enterprise Solutions team, establishing clear roles, responsibilities, performance expectations, and professional development plans.
  • Foster a culture focused on business partnership, accountability, innovation, service, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage external partners and consultants by defining scope, setting expectations, and holding them accountable for deliverables, timelines, quality, and value.
  • Manage resources, budgets, and vendor relationships within established IT priorities and investment parameters.

Business Engagement & Solution Development

  • Build strong relationships with process owners and functional leaders to deeply understand business objectives, processes, challenges, and improvement opportunities
  • Serve as the primary interface between business stakeholders and Enterprise Solutions, translating business needs and challenges into clear requirements, solution opportunities, and actionable priorities.
  • Facilitate business/IT discussions to evaluate process, data, and technology alternatives, proactively identifying opportunities where improvements, automation, or application capabilities can enhance business performance.
  • Escalate strategic opportunities, significant investment needs, and cross-functional priorities to the Director of IT for prioritization and direction.


Business Process Improvements & Best Practices

  • Lead efforts to identify, document, improve, and standardize business processes within supported functions.
  • Partner with business process owners to establish and promote appropriate best practices.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify processes, eliminate unnecessary work, reduce manual activities, and improve consistency across locations and functions.
  • Facilitate current-state and future-state process assessments and improvement workshops.
  • Develop repeatable approaches for requirements definition, process design, solution evaluation, testing, implementation, and adoption.
  • Promote continuous improvement and operational excellence within the Enterprise Solutions portfolio and share successful practices across functions and locations where appropriate.

Enterprise Solutions Roadmaps & Planning

  • Develop and maintain Enterprise Solutions roadmaps consistent with Arnold Magnetic Technologies' business strategy, the IT technology roadmap, priorities, and investment direction established by the SLT and Director of IT.
  • Translate established business and IT priorities into actionable application and solution plans.
  • Identify application capabilities, gaps, dependencies, lifecycle requirements, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Recommend application enhancements, modernization, consolidation, or replacement opportunities based on business needs and established IT priorities.
  • Provide input to IT portfolio planning, prioritization, resource requirements, and investment decisions.
  • Ensure Enterprise Solutions planning remains consistent with enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, data governance, and other IT standards.

Business Systems Improvements, Rollout, and Support

  • Plan and oversee improvements, rollouts, upgrades, and integrations for Enterprise Solutions.
  • Provide business-focused leadership and support for major system implementations and transformation initiatives.
  • Ensure business requirements, process impacts, data requirements, testing, training, and organizational readiness are appropriately addressed.
  • Coordinate business stakeholder participation throughout requirements, design, testing, deployment, and stabilization.
  • Ensure business stakeholders are prepared for major system changes and go-lives.
  • Oversee the application support process, ensuring requests are managed effectively and coordinated with the Service Desk team for escalation and resolution.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce technical debt, application complexity, and redundant capabilities.

Data Governance & Analytics Enablement

  • Coordinate Enterprise Solutions participation in enterprise data governance activities.
  • Partner with business data owners and stewards to ensure appropriate ownership, definitions, quality, and usage of data within supported applications and processes.
  • Ensure business requirements for data, reporting, analytics, and information management are clearly defined within solution initiatives.
  • Support development and implementation of data quality standards and processes.
  • Promote consistent definitions and use of critical business data across functions and locations.
  • Partner with Data & Analytics teams to ensure business information and reporting needs are effectively supported.

AI & Automation Initiatives

  • Partner with business stakeholders to identify high-value opportunities for automation, analytics, and AI within supported processes and applications.
  • Evaluate opportunities to eliminate manual processes, improve productivity, and enhance decision-making.
  • Develop recommendations and business cases for approved opportunities.
  • Coordinate implementation of approved automation, analytics, and AI solutions within the Enterprise Solutions portfolio.
  • Ensure solutions comply with established security, data, AI, and technology governance.

Continuous Improvement & Value Realization

  • Establish appropriate measures to evaluate the effectiveness and business value of Enterprise Solutions.
  • Define and track KPIs for major solutions and improvement initiatives where appropriate.
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews to determine whether expected business outcomes were achieved.
  • Identify opportunities for continued improvement following implementation.
  • Provide recommendations to the Director of IT regarding opportunities, risks, and improvement priorities.

Strategic Alignment, Standards & Governance

  • Execute Enterprise Solutions priorities within the strategic direction and investment decisions established by the SLT and Director of IT.
  • Provide recommendations to the Director of IT regarding application priorities, business needs, resource requirements, risks, and investment opportunities.
  • Establish and enforce Enterprise Solutions standards and governance practices consistent with IT strategy and enterprise standards.
  • Ensure solutions comply with applicable security, regulatory, data protection, and company requirements.
  • Partner with Cybersecurity and other IT leaders to ensure business solutions appropriately address security and compliance requirements.
  • Maintain centralized documentation and training resources to improve knowledge sharing, consistency, and adoption.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Operations, Engineering, or equivalent practical business experience required
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in business technology, Enterprise Solutions, business process improvement, consulting, transformation, or related disciplines.
  • 5+ years of experience leading teams and/or cross-functional business initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience partnering directly with business leaders and process owners to define and implement solutions.
  • Strong understanding of business processes and how technology, data, and process improvements can enable business outcomes.
  • Demonstrated experience leading or supporting enterprise system implementations, process transformations, or significant business improvement initiatives.
  • Experience developing requirements, facilitating business process discussions, and translating business needs into solutions.
  • Experience with data governance, data quality, analytics, or related information management disciplines.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, influencing, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through influence across organizational boundaries.
  • U.S. Citizenship required due to access to export-controlled technology and data under ITAR, EAR, and FCI/CUI regulations.

Preferred

  • Experience implementing core business systems such as ERP, CRM, supply chain, manufacturing, QMS, or other enterprise systems in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Experience leading business process improvement or operational excellence initiatives.
  • Experience with enterprise data governance and master data management.
  • Exposure to AI initiatives such as automation, analytics, or AI-driven business process improvements.
  • Experience leading data architecture, BI, or self-service reporting initiatives.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms and modern integration or DevOps practices.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, ITIL, Microsoft, Lean/Six Sigma, Prosci, or AI-related certifications.
  • Master’s degree in a relevant discipline is a plus.

Working Conditions

  • Full-time, Monday–Friday, with flexibility to occasionally support critical system go-lives or urgent production issues outside of standard hours.
  • Remote based role with extended periods of computer use and meetings.
  • Some travel, including international, will be required for periodic visits to other sites, vendor offices, or industry events.
  • May occasionally require entering manufacturing areas where personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety shoes and eye protection, must be worn in compliance with company safety policies. Hearing protection is available if desired.
  • The employee may occasionally be required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
