Job description
The Role
This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone who enjoys building, improving processes, and operating in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You will serve as the CFO’s right hand on all accounting matters and help establish the foundation for a scalable finance function.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, close process, and financial reporting
- Build and enhance accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls from the ground up
- Partner with the CFO on financial strategy, reporting, and operational decision-making
- Assist in developing scalable processes to support a high-growth, membership-based business model
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management initiatives
- Evaluate and optimize ERP and financial systems (current platform in place)
- Play a key role in building out the accounting/finance team over time
What They’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- Experience in membership-based, subscription, or recurring revenue environments is a plus
- CPA preferred
- 8–12+ years of relevant experience in accounting/finance
- Mix of public accounting and/or corporate experience
- Prior experience in a Controller or Assistant Controller capacity
