Job description

Works closely with project manager for the successful execution and delivery of projects. Assignments require independent action and decision making as well as ability to supervise others.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Independently performs assignments with direction from project leadership as to expected general results.
  • Fosters and maintains a collaborative professional working relationship with the Project Leadership Team.
  • Participates in review of project costs and budgets, adherence to schedule.
  • Participates in team meetings to resolve project issues, and coordinate with other disciplines.
  • May assist with negotiating fees and contracts.
  • Develops comprehensive understanding of clients' program requirements, standards, and policies.
  • Communicates with client on design requirements, specs, progress reviews and final delivery.
  • Responsible for communication with other disciplines, vendors, contractors, and consultants.
  • Prepares 2D and 3D presentations/design drawings and build models for client/project team review.
  • May plan, organize and manage a project team.
  • May lead a team, mentor, and direct the work of less experience staff.
  • May participate in professional development reviews.
  • Sets strategy for the production and organization of documents into files, BIM, or another 3D model.
  • Assists in work planning and scheduling processes.
  • Monitors construction administration document management.
  • Participates in setting up project team software parameters and management of standards.
  • Incorporates Integrated Sustainable Design solutions into projects.
  • Takes personal responsibility for fostering a green workplace through sustainable work practices.
  • Fosters a commitment to external and internal client service.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree in architecture required.
  • 10 plus years' experience; or equivalent in appropriate education and experience required.
  • LEED accreditation or Green Associate preferred
  • Sports, Recreation, and Entertainment experience preferred

Compensation is based on experience, qualifications, education and location. The reasonably expected salary range for this position is $120,000 to $145,000. Other compensation may include a discretionary bonus.
