Job Summary:
This role is responsible for leading all aspects of a multispecialty ambulatory surgery center (ASC) with 4 operating rooms, specializing in General Surgery, Orthopedics, Urology, Colorectal Surgery, Pain Management, Hand Surgery, Podiatry, and ENT procedures. The Administrator ensures efficient, high-quality surgical services while optimizing clinical outcomes and financial performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations & Compliance:

  • Direct daily operations of the facility.
  • Serve as liaison between the medical staff, governing board, and departments.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and accrediting agencies.
  • Oversee internal controls, budgeting, and capital planning.
  • Negotiate and manage external contracts and service agreements.
  • Monitor facility financials and resolve variances proactively.

Personnel Management:

  • Lead monthly staff meetings and align teams with facility goals.
  • Manage performance evaluations, hiring, onboarding, and discipline.
  • Analyze staffing productivity and adjust workforce as needed.
  • Implement ongoing staff training and professional development.

Clinical Oversight:

  • Ensure compliance with clinical and surgical standards.
  • Manage nursing, supply, records, and contracted clinical services.
  • Maintain and coordinate surgical and patient care equipment.
  • Support development of new services and specialties.

Quality & Improvement:

  • Lead continuous quality improvement efforts.
  • Administer infection control and medical staff reviews.
  • Identify and resolve quality of care concerns.
  • Develop key performance indicators to assess operations.

Medical Staff Relations:

  • Oversee credentialing and assist in maintaining bylaws.
  • Support collaborative relationships with medical staff.
  • Identify physician and patient service needs for efficiency.

Administrative & Professional Duties:

  • Represent the facility in corporate meetings and industry groups.
  • Maintain awareness of healthcare trends, legal changes, and reimbursement policies.
  • Promote patient, employee, and physician satisfaction through excellent service and communication.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; Master’s or Nursing degree preferred.
  • At least 3 years in a senior administrative role at an ASC.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Base Salary: $160,000 – $180,000 (higher possible for experienced candidates)
