About the Position
Ensemble Schools is seeking a fun, experienced, and professional piano instructor to teach part-time at Christopher Laughlin School of Music, our Northbrook, IL location. We are looking for teachers who will instruct in person. Teachers have flexibility to set their schedules within our studio's operating hours. To best serve student demand, preference will be given to candidates who can consistently teach during peak lesson times, particularly weekdays from 3:30 PM-8:00 PM and Sundays from 9:00 AM-3:00 PM..

Successful candidates will have a strong music background evidenced by a bachelor's degree in music performance, pedagogy, or music education, as well as a demonstrated love of teaching, experience working with young musicians, a robust appreciation for punctuality, reliable transportation, and the ability to pass a routine background check.

Instructor pay is commensurate with experience and ranges between $35-$41/hour. Health benefits options and a 401K with employer match are available for all part- and full-time employees at Ensemble after 30 days of employment.

The Christopher Laughlin School of Music started in 1996 as the Christopher Laughlin Classical Guitar Studio in Glenview, IL. Over the years, Christopher Laughlin consolidated all of his teaching into one location and gradually added more teachers, more lesson programs, and more space. The respected CLSM currently has a highly qualified and esteemed faculty of 17 music teachers who inspire, motivate, and ignite the hearts and minds of approximately 240 music students per week.
