The Senior Enrollment Systems Configuration Specialist serves as a functional systems lead within Strategic Enrollment Management Operations and is responsible for supporting, configuring, and continuously improving the Slate CRM environment and related enrollment management systems. This position translates business needs from Admissions, Financial Aid, Registrar, SEM Operations, and other enrollment partners into scalable, sustainable system configurations that support recruitment, application processing, student communication, enrollment operations, reporting, and service delivery.

This role is technical in nature but is rooted in enrollment management business operations rather than information technology infrastructure. The position requires a strong understanding of SEM processes, student lifecycle workflows, CRM configuration, data imports, portals, forms, communications, queries, rules, source formats, and system governance. The position works closely with SEM functional units and coordinates with IT when needed for integrations, security, infrastructure, or enterprise system dependencies, while maintaining SEM ownership of business configuration, operational design, and platform functionality.

Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Higher Education Administration, Data Analytics, Communications, Public Administration, or a related field, and four years of experience supporting CRM systems, student information systems, enrollment management systems, business systems configuration, data operations, or related business process function.

Slate Configuration, Workflow Design, and System Optimization - 35%
Lead configuration efforts within Slate to support SEM business processes, including application workflows, reader/review processes, decision workflows, checklists, forms, rules, queries, populations, communications, events, portals, and related operational functionality. Analyze business needs, recommend configuration approaches, build and test solutions, and ensure changes are scalable, accurate, and aligned with SEM operational
goals. Develop automation where appropriate in support of business procedures.

Portal, Form, Communication, and User Experience Development - 20%
Design, configure, and maintain Slate portals, forms, landing pages, student-facing experiences, internal user tools, and communication components that support recruitment, application management, enrollment, and student service functions. Partner with internal SEM teams and other departments across the University to improve usability, reduce manual work, streamline student interactions, and ensure that portals and forms collect accurate, actionable information.

Data Import, Source Format, and Operational Data Management Support - 20%
Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot Slate source formats, data imports, data mappings, record matching rules, data validation processes, and related operational data workflows. Support the accurate movement of data into and through Slate, including vendor files, test scores, prospect data, application data, event data, and other enrollment-related records. Coordinate with central IT to design and implement comprehensive integration
procedures. Assist with internal, SEM data warehousing projects.

System Governance, Testing, Documentation, and Functional Support - 15%
Support SEM system governance by documenting configuration decisions, maintaining business process documentation, coordinating user acceptance testing, validating system changes, and ensuring appropriate change management practices are followed. Provide advanced functional support to SEM users, troubleshoot system issues, identify root causes, recommend solutions, and help train staff on effective use of Slate and related
SEM systems. Assist in prioritizing enhancement requests and balancing operational urgency with long-term platform sustainability.
