Marine Corps University (MCU) / College of Distance Education and Training (CDET)

Location:Quantico, VA (Enlisted College)
Employment Type:Full-Time

Position Summary

HatalomCorporation is seeking an experiencedEnlisted College Subject Matter Expert (SME)to support the Marine Corps University (MCU), College of Distance Education and Training (CDET) at Quantico, Virginia. The SME will provideexpertisein the development, maintenance, and delivery of Enlisted College Distance Education Program (ECDEP) curriculum supporting enlisted Professional Military Education (PME).The successful candidate will support the development and sustainment of six (6) Interactive Multimedia Instruction (IMI) Phase I courses and three (3) ECDEP Phase II Regional Seminar courses while ensuring alignment with Marine Corps and Joint Professional Military Education (JPME) requirements. Position is contingent upon award.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and revise curriculum to achieve Student Learning Outcomes approved by the Commanding General, Education Command (EDCOM).
  • Incorporate Joint Professional Military Education (JPME) requirements and Joint Enlisted Desired Leader Attributesin accordance withCJCSI 1805.01C (Enlisted Professional Military Education Policy - EPMEP).
  • Integrate Marine Corps leadership attributes and competenciesidentifiedinNAVMC 3500.18E (Marine Corps Training and Readiness Manual)into assigned curriculum.
  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert in one or more of the following curriculum areas:
  • Administration and Communications
  • Warfighting
  • Leadership and Ethics
  • Support development and maintenance of six (6) Phase I Interactive Multimedia Instruction (IMI) courses.
  • Support development and maintenance of three (3) Phase II Regional Seminar courses.
  • Review instructional materials and deliverables for technical accuracy and educational quality.
  • Participate in onsite curriculum reviews and provide recommendations to the Dean of Academics.
  • MaintainMarineNetcourseware, assessments, and instructional materials through annual content reviews.
  • Coordinate with the CDETMarineNetOfficer to ensure courses and examinations meetMarineNettechnical requirements.
  • Coordinate with the College of Enlisted Military Education curriculum developers to ensure instructional materialsremaincurrent.
  • Gather and develop multimedia instructional assets in coordination with Instructional Systems Specialists and Graphic Artists.
  • Ensure all Phase II courses, faculty guides, and assessments are completed and ready for dissemination by the end of April each academic year.
  • Teach at least one Phase II Regional Seminar each academic year, either in residence at Quantico or through approved online delivery.
  • Collaborate with Government personnel and contractor teammates to support continuous improvement of Enlisted Professional Military Education.


Required Qualifications

  • Meet Marine Corps University/CDET faculty qualifications for the assigned curriculum area.
  • Extensive experience serving as a senior enlisted leader within the U.S. Marine Corps or another branch of the U.S. Armed Forces.
  • Completion of required Professional Military Education (PME)appropriate toexperience level.
  • Demonstratedexpertisein one or more of the following:
  • Administration and Communications
  • Warfighting
  • Leadership and Ethics
  • Experience developing, reviewing, or delivering military education or training programs.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with instructional designers, curriculum developers, multimedia specialists, and Government stakeholders.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor'sdegree from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a College of Distance Education and Training (CDET) Professional Military Education seminar.
  • Experience developing Interactive Multimedia Instruction (IMI) or online learning products.
  • Experience working withMarineNetor Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Experience coordinating multimedia development efforts.
  • Prior experience supporting Marine Corps University, TECOM, or other military education organizations.


Security Clearance

  • Active Secret (Tier 3) Security Clearance preferred.
  • Must be able to obtain andmaintaina Secret Security Clearance.
