Job description

NOW HIRING: We are hiring a Spanish/English Interpreter to join our team. The Spanish/English Interpreter’s role is to support communication between Spanish-speaking employees and English-speaking supervisors, trainers, and team members in a manufacturing and welding environment.

Job Title: Spanish/English Interpreter
Location: Winsted, MN
Salary Range: $25.50 – 30.00 per hour (non-exempt)
(In compliance with Minnesota Pay Transparency Law, this range reflects the anticipated compensation for this role. Actual pay may vary based on experience, education, and other factors.)
Shift Schedule: 1st shift Monday – Friday
Shift Differential: 1st shift – N/A

As a Spanish/English Interpreter, you will:

  • Provide accurate, real-time interpretation (English ↔ Spanish) during meetings, safety trainings, production activities, and daily communication between teams
  • Translate work instructions, safety guidelines, and other workplace materials as needed
  • Assist supervisors and trainers in ensuring clear understanding of safety procedures, welding techniques, and quality expectations
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions
  • Support onboarding and training of Spanish-speaking employees
  • Follow all company and site safety rules, including use of required PPE (e.g., steel-toed boots, safety glasses, welding helmet/shield, ear protection, etc.)
  • Work in environments that may include welding operations, fabrication, noise, heat, and manufacturing machinery

Role qualifications as a Spanish/English Interpreter:

  • Fluent in English and Spanish (spoken and written)
  • Experience interpreting in an industrial, manufacturing, or construction setting preferred
  • Comfortable working in a welding/manufacturing environment and wearing required PPE
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move about the production floor for extended periods
  • Understanding of workplace safety practices is a plus
  • All necessary PPE will be provided
  • Training on site-specific safety procedures will be included

Work Environment (Office Roles):

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit/stand; talk or hear; and use hands to finger, handle, or touch objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk short distances. On occasion, the employee may be required to stoop, bend, or reach above the shoulders. While on the production floor, all employees are required to wear company-provided personal protective equipment (PPE).
