Job description

Are you an experienced civil engineer looking for a dynamic role where no two days are the same? Christopher B. Burke Engineering, LLC. (Burke) is looking for a well-rounded Project Engineer to join our team in Northern Indiana. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a smaller office environment where your expertise will be valued across a wide range of civil engineering projects.
What You'll Do
  • Lead and manage diverse civil engineering projects from concept through construction
  • Conduct and review municipal engineering plans and development proposals
  • Collaborate with clients, municipalities, and internal teams to deliver high-quality solutions
  • Provide mentorship to junior staff and contribute to a collaborative team culture
  • Adapt to a variety of tasks and project types in a fast-paced, flexible environment
  • Supervise, review, and mentor staff members
  • Other assignments as needed

What You Bring
  • B.S. Civil Engineering with 5 years of experience
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Indiana or ability to obtain in 3 months
  • Broad experience across multiple civil disciplines (Construction, Water Resources, Traffic, Municipal, Infrastructure, etc.)
  • Strong Communication and project management skills
  • Working knowledge and experience with state and local regulations
  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge and experience with CAD programs a plus, preferably (AutoCAD / Civil 3D)
