Visit our website at www.unew.com.

The Engineering Aid will work closely with engineers, buyers, and quality personnel to ensure that materials, components, and subcontracted processes move efficiently through our production pipeline โ€” from raw casting receipt through machining, coating, and final inspection.

Key Responsibilities

  • Track and manage the status of IGT parts throughout the supply chain (casting, machining, coating, inspection, shipping).
  • Assist engineering and procurement teams with vendor coordination, purchase order tracking, and schedule updates.
  • Support preparation of technical packages, inspection documents, and traceability records.
  • Maintain Bill of Materials (BOMs), job travelers, and production routing data in ERP or job-tracking systems.
  • Interface with outside processors and vendors for heat treatment, coating, and NDT services.
  • Monitor incoming and outgoing shipments and ensure AS9100 / NADCAP documentation is complete.
  • Help identify supply chain risks and coordinate resolutions to maintain on-time delivery.
  • Support engineering change control and document revisions.
  • Provide general engineering assistance including part number tracking, data entry, and CAD/inspection file organization as needed.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Associate degree in Engineering Technology, Manufacturing, or related field โ€” or equivalent experience.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and general ERP or job-tracking systems.
  • Familiarity with basic manufacturing processes (casting, machining, coating, inspection).
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Preferred:

  • Experience in aerospace or turbine component manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of AS9100 quality systems and document control.
  • Understanding of process flow for IGT components (blade, vane, shroud, nozzle segments).
  • Experience with supply chain management tools or vendor coordination.
  • Exposure to CAD, GOM Inspect, or other inspection-related software is a plus.

Why Join UNEW

  • Be part of a growing, high-tech aerospace firm with a reputation for precision and reliability.
  • Collaborate with a hands-on engineering team and gain exposure to advanced inspection and manufacturing technologies.
  • Competitive pay, benefits, and opportunity for advancement into project engineering, quality, or operations roles.
