We are seeking a dynamic Technical Sales Support Engineering Manager to provide expert support to our Sales Team across our Motor and Gearbox product lines. In this leadership role, you will oversee the technical support and services team and ensure the smooth operation of all related functions. Responsibilities include delivering high-quality technical assistance to customers, resolving technical inquiries and issues, and partnering closely with Field Sales Managers to drive customer satisfaction and support sales success. This role has 2-3 Direct Reports.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the technical support engineering and service team, ensuring customers receive expert guidance, timely issue resolution, and exceptional service.
  • Champion the company’s vision, mission, and guiding principles in all activities and decision-making.
  • Maintain a safe work environment by strictly following Safety, Health, and Environmental guidelines and using appropriate personal protective equipment.
  • Actively engage in training, seminars, and professional development opportunities to stay current with industry trends and best practices.
  • Consistently follow company procedures, policies, and protocols to ensure operational excellence and compliance.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Manage on-site and remote team members, including time and attendance tracking, skill development, and training to address departmental and individual needs.
  • Review and approve design drawings and documentation for gears and gear motors, analyzing engineering requirements and recommending modifications to meet customer specifications.
  • Collaborate with the Headquarters engineering department to implement necessary design changes.
  • Assist in preparing proposals, quotations, and pricing recommendations in coordination with Sales and Executive leadership.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of the company’s products, equipment capabilities, and engineering principles to provide expert guidance.
  • Consult with customers via phone, email, or on-site visits regarding product capabilities, physical properties, and application-specific solutions.
  • Support application-related product performance, troubleshooting, and product recommendations to ensure optimal customer outcomes.
  • Perform basic design engineering tasks and deliver position-related technical presentations as needed.
  • Serve as a liaison between the fabrication department and customers to ensure smooth communication and project execution.
  • Contribute to product testing and development initiatives, ensuring performance and reliability standards are met.
  • Investigate and resolve work-in-process issues to maintain production quality and efficiency.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements, including changes to operations, equipment utilization, and workflow optimization.
  • Monitor assigned operations to ensure adherence to approved methods, quality standards, and safety requirements.
  • Evaluate supplier proposals for potential process improvements or equipment modifications and provide recommendations for implementation.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical preferred) is required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing and/or technical support.
  • Communication: Strong proficiency in reading, writing, and comprehending English.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
