Electrical Engineering Rotational Associate

Participants will complete three rotations at MTE (Menomonee Falls, WI) and one six-month rotation at MTI (Pleasant Prairie, WI).

About the Program
The Electrical Engineering Rotational Program (EERP) is a two-year development program designed to build future-ready engineering leaders across our diversified portfolio of operating companies. This full-time program provides early-career engineers with immersive, hands-on experience in electrical engineering design, testing, manufacturing support, and innovation initiatives.
Through four structured six-month rotations, participants gain broad exposure to engineering operations, product development, and cross-functional collaboration while working directly with experienced engineering leaders. EERP associates contribute to real business outcomes while developing the technical and leadership capabilities required for long-term career growth.
Rotations Overview
  1. Testing & Validation Engineering
    • Reporting to the Engineering Test Lab or Validation Manager
    • Perform hands-on electrical testing in a lab environment, execute validation plans, and generate detailed test reports.
    • Analyze results to support product performance, reliability, and improvements.
  1. Electrical Design Engineering
    • Reporting to Engineering Leadership
    • Support the design and development of electrical and/or magnetic components and systems.
    • Assist in schematic development, component selection, and technical documentation.
  1. Mechanical Engineering Rotation (MTI)
  • Based at MTI operating company in Pleasant Prairie, WI
  • Support mechanical engineering teams in product design and integration with electrical systems.
  1. Application Engineering
  • Reporting to Application Engineering or Customer Support Leadership
  • Support inbound customer calls and technical inquiries to understand application needs.
  • Provide product recommendations and relay customer insights back to engineering.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, quality, and supply chain teams.
  • Assist in evaluating electrical and/or magnetic components and systems.
  • Analyze engineering data and provide recommendations for product and process improvements.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost reduction, quality enhancement, and operational efficiency.
