What Your Day Will Look Like:

We have an opportunity for an outstanding individual to join the team as a Project Manager.
We are looking for an experienced roadway design focused Project Manager who have a knack for organization and a passion for transportation engineering to join our team of seller-doers. Use your technical and managerial skills to serve our clients and communities while working with an awesome team of engineers in the process. You'll tackle unique and provocative projects and have an opportunity to help lead the company's technical and project delivery initiatives.
What You'll Do:
PROJECT MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Preparation of proposals on projects with subsequent project management responsibilities.
  • Project management for existing or new transportation projects for new facilities, planning studies for roadway improvements, regional transportation planning, and design of transportation improvements.
  • Plan, organize, and staff key positions. Demonstrate the ability to organize and lead teams of project staff, and to delegate appropriate project responsibilities. This includes budgeting, scheduling, directing subordinates, prioritizing multiple projects and deadlines, and communicating with superiors and clients.
  • Coordinates and directs multidisciplinary project delivery involving many stakeholders including clients, the public, subconsultants, approval agencies, and permitting agencies.
  • Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within boundaries of corporate policy.
  • Represent company in project meetings, manage financial aspects of contracts (fee payment, subconsultants, expenses, etc.) to protect company's interest and simultaneously maintain good relationship with Client.
  • Serve as key contact with client's project manager and project director for all job-related issues.
  • Responsible for report writing and production as well as oversight of report writing and production by subordinates.
  • When acting as project manager, develops and implements major presentations, with input from the Principal-in-Charge.
  • Supervise the work of project engineers and serve as a mentor less experienced project managers and project engineers.

TECHNICAL EXPERTISE
  • Serve as lead technical person and reviewer for larger and technically complex projects.
  • Present technical information to clients and in public project presentations. Serve as mentor to less experienced technical staff.
  • Provide leadership to design engineers and drafters in area of expertise.
  • Make conference presentations in area(s) of specialized expertise.
  • Design of plans, specifications and cost estimates for roadway and bridge improvement projects.
  • Oversee analyses performed by subordinates including Senior, Associate, and Assistant Engineers and Technicians.
  • Provide quality control of all work products and products prepared by others.

ADMINISTRATION
  • Involvement in company administration includes coordinating and developing aspects of information management, technical management, and the project management process through committee participation and active leadership.

What You'll Need:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer or ability to obtain reciprocity.
  • 9 years of diversified engineering experience in infrastructure (roadway projects), at least seven of which have been in a supervisory or management capacity consisting of planning, cost control, designing, and construction of engineering projects.
