Project Engineer I - Value Engineering (VE)
The Value Engineering Project Engineer I supports cross-functional initiatives focused on cost reduction, product optimization, and continuous improvement. This role works under the guidance of senior engineers and project leaders to execute VE projects and support global teams.
Key Responsibilities
  • Support Value Engineering projects from concept through implementation

  • Assist in product teardowns, benchmarking, and cost analysis activities

  • Contribute to development of project plans and schedules

  • Participate in technical discussions focused on improving cost, quality, and performance

  • Work with suppliers and internal teams to support design changes and validation

  • Assist with qualification testing and analysis of results

  • Track project tasks and provide updates to project team

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Quality, Manufacturing, and Sourcing

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering

  • 0-2 years of relevant experience (internship/co-op acceptable)

  • Basic understanding of mechanical or electromechanical systems

  • Results driven and deadline orientated

  • Ability to manage several simultaneous projects to aggressive schedules and results

  • Ability to handle fast paced, and agile culture

  • Exposure to DFMA, cost drivers, or product development processes preferred

  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills

  • Familiarity with CAD tools

  • Exposure to manufacturing processes and supplier interaction

  • Willingness to travel up to 10%
