Lincoln Prairie Behavioral Health Center is looking for a Manager of Information Services!

Lincoln Prairie Behavioral Health Center is a 97-bed facility located in Springfield, Illinois. We provide youth with compassionate mental health treatment that encourages self-responsibility and personal growth. We are the only facility of our kind in Central Illinois! We provide psychiatric treatment to children and adolescents that present with a broad range of psychiatric and behavioral disorders. A clinically skilled multidisciplinary team works to partner with the youth and family to accomplish their goals in a supportive and therapeutic environment.

The Manager of Information Services will provide oversight and technical support of facility's computer network and all associated technologies.  Support includes Microsoft Windows PCs, Printers, networking equipment, phone systems, EMR, DVRs ETC.  The hands-on manager must resolve and troubleshoot any malfunctions involved with the above listed equipment to ensure all end user and business needs are met. 

Education: High School Diploma required; associates or technical degree preferred. 

Experience: Previous experience working in Microsoft Windows environment with knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, general networking (LAN\WAN), telecom systems and any other IT related equipment and IT responsibilities.  Previous experience with Cerner EMR prefered. One (1) year experience in a health setting preferred.

  • Troubleshooting day-to-day problems with software and hardware and fixing them in a timely manner for multiple locations.
  • Recommending the need for new software and hardware systems to the management. Works with UHS-BH Corp IT with research, bids and purchase orders.
  • Upgrading the software solutions as well as the hardware systems to solve the problems as and when they arise.
  • Maintaining, monitoring and coordinating the use and installation of software and hardware components according to company policy.
  • Updating their knowledge about the latest programming techniques and technologies.
  • Continuously working toward improving the performance of the systems.
  • Working closely with the management and other teams in achieving the organizational goal.
  • Serves as the facility liaison with Corporate IT.
  • Participates in monthly IT Webinars.
  • Provides PC network support for the user community.
  • Functions as a help desk for facility. Install and troubleshoot PC equipment. Resolves users' software related issues within scope of assigned security protocol as authorized by BH-CORP-IT.
  • Performs routine maintenance on PC equipment.
  • Provides first level of support for phone systems and closed-circuit television systems.
  • Maintains software/hardware inventories.
