Job description

The IS&T Retail Engineering organization is seeking a highly organized, technical, and motivated Engineering Program Manager (EPM) to lead and support our Front End Engineering teams. In this role, you will be the driving force behind the delivery of exceptional user interfaces and web applications. You will partner closely with software engineers, UI/UX designers, product managers, and backend teams to ensure our front end initiatives are executed smoothly, on time, and to the highest quality standards. Description
As the EPM for Front End Engineering, you will be responsible for the end-to-end project management of our front end deliverables. This includes defining project scope, creating detailed schedules, managing resources, and tracking milestones. You will facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospective meetings, ensuring the engineering team has clear priorities and is unblocked from any dependencies.
A significant part of your role will involve cross-functional collaboration. You will work hand-in-hand with the Design team to ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX concepts and with Backend Engineering to align API integrations and data dependencies. You will also be responsible for communicating project status, risks, and scope changes to leadership and stakeholders through regular updates and reports.
Furthermore, you will champion engineering excellence by helping the team establish and refine processes that improve efficiency, quality, and developer velocity. Your goal is to create an environment where engineers can focus on writing great code while you handle the operational complexities.
Minimum Qualifications
Experience as a Technical Program Manager (TPM), Engineering Program Manager (EPM), or Engineering Lead.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred Qualifications
10+ years of experience leading large, complex, cross-functional initiatives-this could be as a Technical Program Manager (TPM), Engineering Program Manager (EPM), Engineering Lead
Certifications in Scrum (CSM), Agile, or Project Management (PMP) are a plus.
Proven ability to drive multi-year, multi-team programs that require both customer and technical focus.
Experience leading customer-facing software initiatives, balancing business objectives, customer impact, and engineering constraints.
Experience with enterprise-scale software development lifecycles, including launch strategies, compliance, and operational scaling.
Experience managing cross-org dependencies across multiple engineering, product, and business teams.
Proficiency in setting up governance models, decision-making frameworks, and program health metrics.
Ability to drive consistency in execution across different teams, priorities, and timelines.
Natural leadership abilities with a knack for building trust, resolving conflicts, and fostering a collaborative team environment.
Experience handling multi-functional trade-offs, ensuring collaboration.
Strong understanding of engineering workflows and architecture.
