Role Summary/Purpose:
We are looking for an Engineering Program Manager to join the INNIO Engineering Project Management Office & Operations Team.
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage complex engineering programs consisting of multiple related projects and workstreams.
  • Align program objectives with business strategy, technical requirements, and organizational priorities.
  • Define program scope, milestones, deliverables, governance structure, and success criteria.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams across engineering, product, operations, quality, supply chain, service, and other business functions.
  • Manage program interdependencies, risks, issues, decisions, and escalations.
  • Drive program planning, execution, tracking, and reporting to ensure delivery against scope, schedule, cost, and quality targets.
  • Facilitate decision-making and prioritization across stakeholders and leadership teams.
  • Ensure clear communication of program status, risks, dependencies, and key decisions.
  • Support resource planning and alignment across projects and functional teams.
  • Monitor technical readiness, deliverable completion, and business outcome achievement.
  • Identify opportunities to improve program management processes, execution discipline, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Mentor or guide project managers, workstream leads, and team members as needed.
Qualifications / Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering.
  • 5+ years of engineering experience in product and technology development.
  • 2+ years system & Sub-system technical understanding of Reciprocating Engines.
  • Strong working knowledge of Project Management tools (MS Project, Smartsheet, Service Now, etc.).
  • Proven track record in project management.
  • Experience in engineering quality control and continuous improvement.
  • Fluent knowledge of English language.
  • Approximately 10% traveling is anticipated.
Preferred Skills:
  • Knowledge of Systems Engineering process & methodology.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and make priority calls.
  • Strong process analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong execution skills including excellent project and time management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; integrative team working style.
  • Experience with lean and rich burn reciprocating engine combustion systems.
  • Certification in project management such as PRINCE2 or PMP.
  • Lean Six Sigma Certification.
  • Experience with Intellectual Property generation and protection processes in an engineering environment.
  • Working knowledge of German language.
