Job description

Be at the center of the action on new silicon product development for Apple's groundbreaking SoC's. Apple seeks a Silicon Engineering Program Manager (EPM) within the Silicon Engineering Group (SEG) Engineering organization to join an expert program management team driving silicon program schedules and resolving technical issues that enable timely silicon delivery. You will help lead and drive programs involving silicon debug, bring-up and validation for pioneering technology used in next generation Apple products. Not only will you help bring our innovative processors to market, but also influence future designs from lessons learned. This position will collaborate with multi-functional teams to resolve silicon issues blocking product development starting with initial silicon bring up through production release and beyond.
Description
In this high profile role, you will be responsible for the following:
- Work on a EPM team responsible for driving technical issue resolution to enable timely silicon to meet daring product schedules
- Drive internal program process to guarantee high quality silicon execution
- Interface and drive silicon issues across multi-functional teams: Design, Verification, Validation, Technology, System Hardware, and Software
- Focus silicon team and multi-functional teams on meeting near term work and unblocking technical issues by pulling together the right multi-functional technical expert(s) to resolve issues with data based decision-making
- Drive technical sessions with cross-functional teams to supervise & follow up issues/escalations
- Focused issue reporting, bug tracking, and communication of program risks & status
Preferred Qualifications
Top level SoC architecture and associated IPs knowledge
Experience with ARM architecture and leading silicon projects from concept to production
Possess extraordinary leadership skills and ability to encourage and influence team members with a dedication to see the big picture
Proven track record of managing sophisticated, multifaceted schedules, driving improvements and lessons learned into organizational and team processes and methodologies
Working knowledge of software development processes and methodologies
Current knowledge of pre-si modeling platforms (FPGA, simulation, emulation)
Ability to build effective working relationships across multi-functional partners, engineers and management
Excellent spoken and written communication skills with the ability to tailor communication style to multiple audiences
Strong multi-tasking and real-time crisis leadership skills
Ability to understand and extract action plans from sophisticated technical discussions and translate into succinct messaging for multifunctional and executive status reporting
Minimum Qualifications
SOC / VLSI Chip Design, Post Silicon Validation or Product Engineering experience
Post-silicon debug experience
Relevant technical program management, technical leadership or vendor management experience
BS and 3+ years relevant proven experience
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $141,800 and $258,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
