YOUR NEXT OPPORTUNITY:

The Engineering Program Manager is responsible for managing project budgets, projecting, and tracking resource needs, identifying variances in scope, and assisting in taking corrective actions so that each project meets its target margins and customer satisfaction goals.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
  • Work with the Director, Engineering Team Lead and/or the design, integration, analytics lead to assess scope of work, schedule, deliverables, and resources necessary to successfully complete a project successfully.

  • Assist in the preparation of a complete estimate for pursuits and new projects. Track the proposal status.

  • Provide overall business management support for multiple projects simultaneously .

  • Gather fundamental new project information (project name, project #, division, Team Lead, EOR, budget, PM, Superintendent/GF, BIM Manager (if applicable), schedule, deliverables. Distribute this new project information to the appropriate individuals and/or group.

  • Set up new projects with trackers for budgets, action items, current project and task code spreadsheets, manpower projections, and request access to necessary program(s).

  • Coordinate with the project PM and cost accounting to assure designated task codes for a project are available, funded appropriately, are incorporated into the Oracle project budgets and are available and chargeable in Kronos.

  • Ensure that everyone is cognizant of the project timeline and schedule to ensure on time completion of project deliverables. This includes regular reminders as due dates get closer.

  • Coordinate with Team Leads to prepare and submit change orders (ECNs) completely and in a timely manner. Validate and document customer acceptance and status of change orders.

  • Request generation of or renaming of task codes for approved ECNs and ensure task codes and funding are incorporated into the Oracle project budgets. Track ECN status, budget, and funding. Maintain and submit project EPCO Logs with ECNs to executive administrator as necessary.

  • Maintain and submit weekly/bi-weekly, Project Budget Tracking Reports to project leads to include project metrics such as, expense versus budget, labor versus budget, and progress of project versus the timeline.

  • Update resource projections continuously. Distribute to team several times monthly prior to the Directors Monthly Resource Review meeting. Post monthly Master on Engineering Sharepoint site.

  • Schedule and facilitate weekly project meetings, biweekly team meetings and quarterly team meetings and additional meetings as requested.

  • Assist in the hiring process to track approved candidates through management process, HR process, and IT process and assure speedy hiring and that all equipment and software is ready for employees first day.

  • Assist in onboarding new hires by acclimating them to our group, engineering and Rosendin (Kronos, expense reports, Rosendin travel requirements, Concur, requesting p-cards, team calendar(s), team roster and org chart, Eng. Org chart, office logistics, etc.).

  • The duties and responsibilities are intended to describe the general nature and scope of work being performed by this position. This is not a complete listing and other duties will be assigned based on the position's role within the team.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary

  • Ability to work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude

  • Effective oral and written communication skills as required for the position

  • Ability to be self-motivated, proactive and an effective team player

  • Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, and others

  • Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.); Oracle preferred

WHAT YOU BRING TO US:
  • 3-5+ years of experience within the construction industry

  • Bachelor's degree in (Finance, Construction Management, Engineering) or related field

  • Proficient in using a computer. Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.); Oracle experience a plus

  • Experience and/or knowledge in finance, scheduling, management, engineering preferred

  • Can be a combination of education, training and relevant experience

TRAVEL:
  • Up to 10 %

WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • General work environment - sitting for long periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning

  • Noise level is usually low to medium; it can be loud on the jobsite.
