Job description

Engineering Operations Specialist
Wage $0 - $91K/yr
The Operations Technical Specialist is based at the New Johnsonville, TN facility, reports to the Operations Manager. This individual will perform a variety of process engineering and operations activities at the branch. The primary functions of the role include the following: ownership of the technical process, support routine operations and troubleshooting from a process and equipment standpoint, implementation of process changes and projects into Operations including all associated operations activities and documentation, lead root cause investigation and corrective actions.
Essential Function
Own operations review and implementation ofprocess and equipment changes including the hand-off of capital projects.Examples include: Pre-startup safety reviews, standard operating procedures,management of change, operator training, PPE assessments, JSA updates, FMEAupdates, and commissioning and start-up activities
Own technical process including leading and supporting process hazard analysis,FMEAs, capital project reviews, MOC, day-to-day operations support andtroubleshoot, minor improvement projects.
Lead and support root cause analysis for SHE and quality includingimplementation of corrective actions
Support Quality system and customer audits
Lead minor improvement projects.
Provide back-up support to area manager for coverage purposes.

B.S. in Chemical Engineering
Specialty gas and high purity processesexperience highly desirable. Self-starter with ability to analyzechemical systems, identify problems and implement solutions. Technicalcapacity to own area processes and equipment, problem solve, and implementsolutions. Ability to understand and update P & IDs, operatingprocedures, complete and implement management of change documentation andassociated activities, lead a root cause analysis and associated correctiveactions.
Excellent technical and communications skills required at all levels includingplant operations, engineering and management.
