Your role
As a Customer Solutions Operations Manager, your mission is to lead the aftermarket business through a strong combination of technical expertise, operational excellence, and people leadership. You will be responsible for ensuring reliable on-time delivery, maximizing profitability, and providing an outstanding customer experience as every part and engineered-to-order product moves through our process. This role will play a key role applying engineering thinking to real-world operations challenges. You will report to the Aftermarket Manager.
You will
  • Operational Responsibilies
    • Manage and execute engineering deliverables, ensuring alignment with project requirements, timelines, and quality standards.
    • Oversee all customer service operations, including NIS, on-time delivery, variance, and project profitability.
    • Build strong cross-functional partnerships with sourcing, shipping, quality, engineering, and manufacturing to align technical solutions with business needs and customer requirements.
    • Lead engineering execution for customer projects and manage project schedules, risks, and customer communications.
    • Continuously evaluate engineering processes to identify improvment opportunties and implement solutions that increase efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Determine parts inventory needs and oversee planning accuracy.
    • Analyze delivery and budget variances and drive improvement initiatives.
    • Collaborate with sales to support customer success and continuous improvement.
  • Talent & Leadership Responsibilities
    • Coach and develop team members in engineering, planning, and project management.
    • Provide technical guidance and leadership to engneering teams, ensuring alignment with project goals and best practices.
    • Identify skills gaps, coordinating training, and maintain an updated skills matrix.
    • Implement and refine tools, processes, and workflows to improve productivity, operational efficiency, and enhance engineering effectiveness.

You have at least 5 years of experience in a turbomachinery environment or equivalent work experience.
  • You hold a BS in engineering.
  • You have proven expereince conducting technical discussions with customers and acting as a subject matter expert to provide guidance and solutions.
  • You have a strong focus on customer service and providing exeptional customer care.
  • You can navigate roadblocks, conflict, and shared resources to build rapport with other to reach a common goal.
  • You can determine the trade offs of decisions and big picture strategic thinking.
  • You are an experienced negotiator who can understand the value of empathy.
  • You are willing to travel both domestic and internationally for business meetings.
