Job description

Data Engineering & Operations Manager

We are looking for a Big Data Manager, with experience in people management, technical & user support as well as data engineering operations.

This role is responsible for managing a team of systems engineers, devops engineers, operations analysts, systems architects, and application administrators supporting our data & analytics platforms, applications, and production pipelines within our organization.

You will manage change both internally on your own teams and externally with the business units you serve.

The successful candidate will also guide the improvement of processes and procedures on a continuous basis, and manage team and staff performance.

What You'll Do

  • Play a key role in the development and implementation of department vision and strategies regarding Process, Tools, Technologies, and Platforms.

  • Champion engagement activities.

  • Ensure all operational KPIs and metrics are being defined, measured and met

  • Inspire and guide improvement in process, technology innovation and automation for the organization

  • Manage staff to include to include career planning, goal development, performance management, performance evaluations, growth & development, and knowledge retention.

  • You should be prepared to present not only to your teams but also to the business unit and to upper management, ready to prove the value your team adds to the organization.

The starting pay range for this position is:

$194,300.00 - $259,100.00

Additionally, for full time positions, you will be eligible to participate in our incentive program based upon the achievement of organization, team and personal performance.
