Job DescriptionAbout the Role

As an Engineering Manager within our Injection Molding plant, you will supervise our diverse discipline engineering team. You can expect to manage the implementation and development phases necessary to complete projects, make statistical driven decisions to set engineering priorities for improving production efficiency, safety, and quality, and provide leadership and communications for ensuring the efficient operations of teams. A successful candidate will be process-oriented, and task driven for the safe completion of simple and complex activities.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for instilling a positive safety culture by ensuring their personal safety and the safety of other team members, including vendors and contractors.
  • Leads & develops Engineering Team in all areas, including providing guidance, direction, and development to Engineers.
  • Collaborate with other manufacturing managers and leadership to set and assess priorities across teams.
  • Assesses cost effectiveness and feasibility of manufacturing processes; makes and implements recommendations to improve safety, efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Provides guidance and oversight in development and execution of plant renovations and expansions; coordinates outside contractors and vendors.
  • Assists other teams (production, maintenance, tooling, etc.) and/or other appropriate leadership with programs, activities, and responsibilities of those teams.
  • Tracks cost savings of implemented projects and efficiency improvements
  • Prepares and implements the capital budget.
  • Performs annual performance evaluations of employees
  • Respond to customer complaints and implement corrective / preventive action.
  • Maintain and enforce all company safety, environmental and department of health requirements.
Qualifications
  • Strong problem solving and technical skills.
  • 5 years of experience in Industrial Maintenance/Engineering.
  • Prefer Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Detail oriented/root cause investigative mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and organizational skills with proven ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated leadership ability.
  • Stable work history and excellent attendance/safety habits.
  • Capable of physical mobility including sitting, bending, twisting, standing, pushing, pulling and lifting/moving up to 35 pounds periodically.
  • Must be a team player with excellent attendance, communication, and problem solving skills.
  • Must be able to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Must perform all duties in a safe and effective manner.
