Job description

An established and growing manufacturer serving the energy and gas compression markets is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a 15-person engineering and drafting organization. This is a high-visibility leadership position with direct exposure to senior leadership and significant opportunity to modernize engineering operations.
The role is ideal for a hands-on engineering leader who can manage people while also improving processes, standardizing technical work, introducing automation and AI tools, and increasing engineering accuracy and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a team of engineers, drafters, supervisors, and technical professionals while overseeing day-to-day engineering and drafting operations.
  • Drive engineering modernization through automation, AI adoption, workflow improvements, standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Establish consistent engineering, drawing, documentation, and quality processes to improve accuracy, productivity, and manufacturing support.
  • Partner with senior leadership and cross-functional teams on strategic initiatives, cost improvement, operational excellence, and company growth.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 10+ years of engineering experience, including progressive leadership responsibility in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong mechanical engineering, design, and drafting background with experience leading engineers and technical teams; SolidWorks experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, automation, process improvement, ERP systems, and engineering workflow optimization; Syteline experience is a plus.
  • Practical, hands-on leadership style with the ability to modernize legacy processes; experience in oil & gas, gas compression, energy, rotating equipment, or air-cooled heat exchangers is highly desirable.
Location: Catoosa, Oklahoma
Work Arrangement: Onsite, Monday-Friday
Base Salary: $160,000-$180,000
Estimated Bonus: $30,000-$50,000 annually
