Job description

SI Engineering, P.C. (SIE) is a full-service consulting engineering firm based in downtown Manhattan providing services in civil, structural, transportation engineering, bridge & facility inspection, construction management & inspection and lighting design. We are engaged in local community improvement projects to large, high-profile, multi-billion-dollar infrastructure projects with a strong reputation of delivering a wide range of projects for our clients in the public sector.   

SIE is looking for a Construction Inspector to provide various inspection services on our construction projects. These projects will be public works; specific project assignment would depend on the candidate's skill set and background, but projects include work with the MTA-TBTA, NYCDDC, NYSDOT, and NYCDOT.  

Responsibilities:   

  • Monitoring contractor’s work   

  • Ensuring construction is as per the plans and specifications   

  • Preparing daily reports   

  • Assisting Office Engineer as needed   

  • Other duties as assigned   

Qualification & Skills:   

  • 5+ years of REI/CM experience on infrastructure projects   

  • Experience working with public agencies required 

  • Bachelor's in engineering or active NICET certification preferred   
      

Expected salary range is $90,000-$120,000 annually. Actual compensation will be dependent on the individual’s qualifications, skills, experience, and physical work location.
