Kelly Services is hiring experienced Quality Inspectors for direct-hire opportunities with a growing manufacturing organization.

This role is ideal for someone with hands-on quality inspection experience who enjoys working closely with manufacturing teams, reviewing specifications, using precision measurement tools, and helping prevent quality issues before products reach the customer.

Direct Hire | 1st & 2nd Shift Opportunities
Location: Kearny, NJ

1st Shift: 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
Pay: $25.00–$26.00/hr

2nd Shift: 3:30 PM–12:00 AM
Pay: $27.50–$28.60/hr

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Inspect incoming components, raw materials, fabricated parts, subassemblies, and finished products.
  • Perform First Article Inspections according to drawings, inspection plans, specifications, and customer requirements.
  • Conduct in-process and final inspections to verify products meet established quality standards.
  • Use measuring tools such as calipers, gauges, and other inspection equipment.
  • Collect, document, and analyze quality data.
  • Record inspection results and communicate nonconforming findings to appropriate teams.
  • Support root-cause investigations and corrective and preventive actions for quality concerns.
  • Help identify recurring defects and opportunities for long-term process improvement.
  • Review manufacturing and quality documentation for accuracy and compliance.
  • Perform subassembly testing when required.
  • Follow established sampling plans and inspection procedures.
  • Work closely with Quality Management and Manufacturing to resolve product and process concerns.
  • Monitor corrective actions to ensure identified issues are properly addressed.
  • Support internal Quality Management System requirements and applicable environmental and workplace safety standards.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities aimed at strengthening product quality and customer satisfaction.
What We’re Looking For
  • Previous hands-on quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working within an ISO-certified manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, work instructions, and inspection criteria.
  • Experience using precision measuring equipment, including calipers and gauges.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately document inspection findings.
  • Good troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Comfortable working closely with production and manufacturing teams.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and Outlook.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
