Mechanical Quality Control Inspector
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM (Overtime available)
Position Summary
We're looking for an experienced Mechanical Quality Control Inspector to help ensure our products meet the highest quality standards. In this hands-on role, you'll inspect precision components, interpret engineering drawings, perform first article inspections, and work closely with production to maintain quality throughout the manufacturing process.
What You'll Do
- Perform mechanical inspections using precision measuring equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T requirements.
- Conduct first article and in-process inspections to verify product conformance.
- Identify and document nonconforming materials and support corrective actions.
- Maintain inspection records, traceability, and quality documentation.
- Support continuous improvement and statistical process control (SPC) activities.
- Collaborate with production to ensure quality standards are consistently met.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical training or trade school preferred).
- 5+ years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge.
- Proficiency with precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and optical inspection equipment.
- Experience with first article inspections and quality documentation.
- Familiarity with ISO-based quality systems is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skills.
