Key Responsibilities
• Manage part numbers, bills of material (BOM), routings, and the Engineering Change Management process globally.
• Coordinate engineering changes across internal cross-functional teams, global plants/affiliates, and external OEMs or customers.
• Create and update part numbers, BOMs, and packaging requirements based on Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and implement changes in SAP.
• Lead change coordination meetings, maintain project files, and track status of all active changes.
• Support customer-driven product changes and application approval processes.
• Partner with Engineering to support product changes and application requirements.
• Notify customers of pending changes and ensure alignment on timing and implementation.
• Prepare reports, dashboards, and supporting materials, ensuring data accuracy.
• Support development of technical publications including parts lists, service documentation, and related materials.
• Ensure all change information is accurate and complete throughout the ECM process.
• Facilitate effective communication across all departments and global locations, including service teams.
• Collaborate with BOM analysts, scheduling, and materials teams to ensure alignment.
• Support New Product Development (NPD) initiatives and deliver required milestones.
• Lead and ensure successful product and application change implementation across all global plants and customers.
• Drive continuous improvement through process optimization and waste elimination.
• Evaluate and communicate the impact of engineering changes on inventory, cost, and supply continuity.
• Coordinate phase-in and phase-out strategies to minimize obsolescence and operational disruption.
• Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) such as change cycle time, implementation timing, and BOM accuracy.
• Collaborate with suppliers to ensure material readiness and alignment with implementation timelines.
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with engineering changes, including supply, quality, and delivery impacts.
• Support audit requirements and ensure compliance with change management processes and standards.
• Identify opportunities to improve ECM/PCM processes, data integrity, and system integration.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Technical, mechanical, or engineering background.
• Minimum of 5 years of related experience.
• Proficiency with SAP or other ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office. LeverX experience a plus.
• Strong ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple projects.
• Ability to work independently, drive tasks to completion, and resolve issues effectively.
• Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation) for internal and external stakeholders.
