Powertrain Solutions is a provider of diversified powertrain products and solutions in our three market segments Electric Vehicles (EL), Passenger Cars (PC), and Commercial Vehicles / Off-Road (CV/OR) - from gasoline and diesel injection to electric drives with battery and fuel cell technologies.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Engineering Change Coordinator to join our Customer Project Management Team. This role is ideal for a highly motivated, self-driven and highly organized individual who thrives in cross-functional environments. In this role, you will be responsible for change management, securing implementation of complex and cost-reduction changes, and actively shaping the product portfolio.ย  You will work closely with cross-functional teams in the U.S., Mexico, and Europe, including our manufacturing plants, to facilitate the implementation of product changes, manage customer implementation scenarios, and accelerate time-to-market, thereby ensuring competitiveness and profitability.

As the Engineering Change Coordinator on our team your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead Engineering Change Management (ECM) process for product changes.
  • Key member of ECM Review Team (RT), steering and consulting side by side with Engineering and Quality Leads.
  • Approve Engineering Change Requests (ECRs), Planning and Final Review, as Ford customer team representative.
  • Evaluate and define criteria on quality and completeness of the ECR documentation prior to customer communication.
  • Key interface between change representatives and Customer Team Project Managers (PJMs).
  • Organize communication to the affected PJMs and distribute documents for customer communication.
  • Coordinate documentation of customer requirements, affected Customer PJMs, and provide to change representative.
  • Support Customer Teams with internal ECR Kick-Off Meetings while ensuring adherence to ECM guidelines.
  • Increase transparency of ECM by maintaining a comprehensive change overview within ECM RT and reporting across various levels of the organization as needed.
  • Support the quarterly review within Sr. Leadership on state of ECM across PS/CFO including status of current and new KPI's.
  • Share best practices across products and regions, with critical eye to ensure lean and effective ECM within PS-NA.
Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline
  • Basic understanding of Change Management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Self-driven, high energy and proactive with strong motivational skills who can lead teams toward a common goal.
  • Strong organization skills to efficiently manage varying topics with process driven mind-set.
  • Successful candidate must have ability to make independent decisions that may be of a complex nature.
  • Previous experience leading cross-functional teams with ability to quickly build internal networks.
  • PS product and product release process know-how from quotation to SOP.
  • Change management experience from OEM and/or Bosch industrialization view.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, SAP ECM Future or similar change management software.
  • 1+ years of engineering coordination experience
  • Prior work experience from Bosch
