Drive Critical Engineering Changes from Start to Finish as a Sr Engineering Support Specialist!
PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a highly organized and proactive Sr Engineering Support Specialist to support engineering teams by tracking, managing, and driving technical action items associated with Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys coordinating projects, managing multiple priorities, and working closely with engineers and cross-functional teams. While the position is not technical in nature, you'll play a vital role in helping complex engineering activities move efficiently through review and approval processes.
Position Overview
As an Engineering Change Coordinator, you'll be responsible for monitoring and driving completion of ECO-related action items while maintaining visibility into project status, constraints, priorities, and approvals.
You'll serve as a key liaison between engineering teams, stakeholders, and management, helping ensure deliverables stay on schedule and roadblocks are quickly identified and resolved.
Key Responsibilities
Engineering Change Coordination
  • Track and manage Engineering Change Order (ECO) activities from initiation through completion.
  • Maintain organized records of action items, ownership, status, dependencies, and deadlines.
  • Monitor progress and ensure tasks move efficiently through review and approval processes.
  • Support timely completion of engineering change activities.
Cross-Functional Communication
  • Meet regularly with engineers and team members to gather status updates.
  • Communicate priorities, constraints, and action plans to stakeholders.
  • Build relationships across departments to help drive completion of critical tasks.
  • Facilitate collaboration among teams with competing priorities.
Teamcenter & PDM Support
  • Utilize Siemens Teamcenter to identify task owners, routing information, and workflow status.
  • Track ECO progress within Teamcenter and associated systems.
  • Support workflow management and documentation activities.
  • Learn and effectively use Teamcenter tools and processes.
Issue Resolution & Escalation
  • Identify barriers preventing task completion.
  • Document constraints and communicate issues to leadership.
  • Escalate unresolved risks and concerns appropriately.
  • Assist teams in developing solutions to move work forward.
Reporting & Documentation
  • Provide daily status updates and progress reports.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of action items and project status.
  • Create summary reports for management and stakeholders.
  • Ensure data accuracy and visibility across assigned projects.
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 4-6 years of experience in:
    • Project Coordination
    • Project Support
    • Engineering Administration
    • Change Management
    • Related coordination roles
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong follow-through and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively under general supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with:
    • Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)
    • Engineering Change Management processes
    • Product Data Management (PDM) systems
  • Familiarity with Siemens Teamcenter.

Pay Details: $46.00 to $51.00 per hour
