Job description

Manufacturing Engineer

Duration: 6 Months Contract (possible extension) Location: Gilbert, AZ 85233 (Onsite) Schedule: 9/80 1st Shift: Mon โ€“ Thurs, 6:00 AM โ€“ 3:30 PM & Fri, 6:00 AM โ€“ 2:30 PM 2nd Shift: Mon โ€“ Thurs, 3:00 PM โ€“ 12:00 AM & Fri, 3:00 PM โ€“ 11:00 PM (10% shift differential)

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing processes for fabrication and machining operations.
  • Determine manufacturing methods, operation sequences, and production workflows.
  • Prepare tooling, gauging, and setup documentation for production.
  • Create, prove out, and maintain CNC (N/C) programs.
  • Develop detailed operation sheets and manufacturing instructions.
  • Estimate setup and run times for manufacturing operations.
  • Provide technical support to production by troubleshooting manufacturing issues.
  • Resolve process, tooling, machine, gauging, heat treating, and plating challenges.
  • Collaborate with Design Engineering, Quality Assurance, Production, Purchasing, Scheduling, and external vendors.
  • Prepare and maintain manufacturing documentation using computer-based systems.
  • Support continuous process improvements and concurrent engineering initiatives.
  • Participate in training and development assignments as needed.
Required Qualifications
  • Experience supporting machining and fabrication manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, tooling, fixtures, and CNC machining.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Experience developing manufacturing documentation and operation instructions.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with computer-based manufacturing systems and engineering software.
  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, OR a related engineering discipline.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently while supporting cross-functional teams.
