Job Responsibilities:
  • Edit and format engineering documentation. Interfaces with technicians, engineers and engineering managers to create/edit documentation. Verifies change requests are in the proper state and implemented into documentation.
  • Provides tools expertise and support to Engineering: MS Office Apps, requirements capture databases, change management and tracking tools. Generates reports as required.
  • Orders and tracks parts
  • Supports preparation of presentations.
  • Assists in the collection of metrics and prepares presentation materials for analysis.
  • Assists the Project Engineers with various project management tasks as required.
  • Assists in tracking action items, risk management tools, and tasks in the change management tools.
  • Supports the Bid & Proposal process, assisting in bid narratives and bid reviews.
  • Administer the engineering change management process, including facilitating stakeholder reviews
  • Assists in managing classified laboratory needs, including secure data transfers
  • Acts as primary focal and liaison for program support, across engineering and other departments
  • Networks with both internal and external personnel at multiple levels in own area of expertise.
  • Generally works on moderately difficult assignments which are given in terms of objectives to be accomplished and priorities to be followed. Requires judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendations.

Potential Additional Job Responsibilities:
  • Assists the Project Engineers in tracking and/or maintenance of program/project schedules, milestone performance, and financial metrics.
  • Assists the Project Engineers in managing daily tasking via JIRA or other tools
  • Coordinates the interaction of project/program team and support functions to communicate schedule and status.
  • Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new or special assignments. Often acts as a facilitator and team leader.
  • Represents organization as a prime contact on projects, coordinating activities of support personnel and communicating effectively.
