Job description:

Savvy Staffing Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented Engineering Support Coordinator for a growing manufacturing company in Sturbridge, MA. This position provides administrative and operational support to the Engineering, IT, Quality, Estimating, Purchasing, and Customer Service teams. If you're highly organized, enjoy working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, and have strong computer skills, we'd love to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

  • Support Engineering, IT, and Quality departments with daily tasks and special projects.
  • Gather engineering drawings, quote history, and pricing information for estimators.
  • Prepare RFQ packages and remove customer-identifying information before sending to vendors.
  • Enter quotes into the company system, calculate pricing, prepare formal quotations, and maintain quote records.
  • Perform order entry, create jobs, issue order acknowledgments, and update customer orders as needed.
  • Review purchase orders for pricing, delivery, terms, quantities, and customer requirements.
  • Assist with ISO audits and maintain documentation in accordance with quality procedures.
  • Contact vendors for material and outside processing quotes.
  • Review requisitions for accuracy and ensure all required certifications and documentation are obtained.
  • Purchase materials while negotiating pricing, delivery schedules, and terms.
  • Match purchase orders with packing slips and verify pricing and tax status.
  • Assist customers with order inquiries and resolve concerns when needed.
  • Support order fulfillment activities as required.
  • Greet visitors, distribute incoming mail, and provide general office support.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in an administrative, engineering support, customer service, purchasing, estimating, or manufacturing office environment preferred.
  • Strong computer skills and ability to learn company software.
  • Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with purchase orders, order entry, quotations, or manufacturing documentation is a plus.
  • Familiarity with ISO quality systems is preferred but not required
