Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Structural Design Engineer with extensive knowledge in API above-ground storage tank design and repair, particularly related to DoD fuel systems. The ideal candidate will possess an API 653 certification and demonstrate a strong understanding of industry standards and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead structural engineering efforts for the design, inspection, and repair of above-ground fuel storage tanks.
  • Prepare engineering calculations for the structural design of concrete foundations, steel POL storage tanks, structures, pipe supports, equipment and maintenance platforms, and industrial buildings.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of existing tanks to identify structural and hydraulic deficiencies and prepare inspection reports, including recommending appropriate repair solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative, cost-effective design solutions that meet client requirements and regulatory standards.
  • Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to engineers and project teams.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, codes, and regulations related to above-ground tank design and repair.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited curriculum.
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience required
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
  • Ability to obtain U.S. military base access through completion of a comprehensive background check.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Willing and able to independently travel periodically to project locations, domestic and international.
