Test Automation Software Engineer
Step into a high-impact Test Automation Software Engineer opportunity with a confidential client, where you will help drive meaningful results across Communications/ Broadcast/ Media,Electronics/ Semi-conductors,Software. This role offers the chance to make a visible contribution in West Mclean, Virginia, USA while supporting ambitious technical and operational goals.
Your Key Responsibilities
• Lead core execution for the Test Automation Software Engineer role across day to day priorities, technical problem solving, and cross functional coordination.
• Drive high quality outcomes for projects based in West Mclean, Virginia, USA while maintaining strong operational discipline.
• Partner with internal stakeholders, vendors, and production teams to move work from planning into successful delivery.
• Improve process stability, quality, and throughput through disciplined analysis and practical execution.
• Support issue resolution, technical decision making, and continuous improvement activity across the function.
• Document results clearly and communicate progress, risks, and recommendations to the broader team.
• Contribute hands-on expertise in support of schedule, quality, and business objectives.
What You Bring to the Role
Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related field.
At least four years of experience integrating and testing cellular communications systems including (GSM / 2G and LTE / 4G).
In-depth understanding of the GSM and/or LTE architecture, protocols, and standards.
Experience using network testing tools and frameworks, such as QXDM, Wireshark, Spirent, IXIA, iPerf, Traceroute, etc.
Experience writing automated scripts for executing and running telecommunications test cases.
Proficiency with Linux Operating Systems.
Proficiency with scripting in Python and Bash.
