The Portage County Engineer is accepting applications from persons interested in the full-time seasonal position of Summer Help Laborer. The selected candidate(s) will perform manual labor tasks to assist with the maintenance, construction and repair of county roads, bridges, and culverts; performs other duties as required.

SUMMER HELP LABORER
The Portage County Engineer is accepting applications from persons interested in the full-time seasonal position of Summer Help Laborer. The selected candidate(s) will perform manual labor tasks to assist with the maintenance, construction and repair of county roads, bridges, and culverts; performs other duties as required.
Minimum qualifications include high school diploma or GED and a minimum of 18 years of age. Enrollment in college is preferred. Qualified candidates must possess a valid State of Ohio Driver's License. Summer help program is for a maximum of 600 hours. Successful applicant must pass a drug screen. Rate of pay is $15.00 per hour.
The County application form, which can be downloaded from the County website (www.co.portage.oh.us), is required when applying for this position. Applications can be either faxed, e-mailed, or mailed. You may also pick up and drop off to our office located at:
