Job description

Airswift is looking for a Engineering Manager to support one of our major clients in Houston, TX
Manages the team overseeing contractor and supplier engineering work starting in the early project development phases through the project execute phase. Coordinates the execution of engineering scopes with the functional E&C Engineering team and all other functional team leads. Ensures compliance with project specifications, company guidelines and philosophies, and maintains the technical integrity of the engineering throughout the project lifecycle.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Works with Project Manager, E&C Engineering team and Director of Engineering on all engineering-related aspects to ensure on time and cost-effective project execution.
  • Ensures quality of engineering technical design and deliverables of both direct and subcontracted work complying with contract and government regulatory requirements and supports the overall project schedule.
  • Manages the administration of engineering, including interfaces with document control, review and approval matrices, document numbering, conformance to comments and all other administrative functions of managing the engineering effort.
  • Attends and participates in all project key meetings organized by Project Manager and Director of Engineering. Conducts technical coordination meetings with relevant parties.
  • Manages the team overseeing the development of deliverables of engineering contractors and suppliers to ensure consistency, quality of design, adherence to delivery milestones, and cost control.
  • Evaluates and integrates new technologies and methodologies to improve project efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability.
  • Establishes and enforces engineering standards, processes, and quality assurance protocols to ensure operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and engineering excellence.
  • Ensures compliance to the company and project safety program to protect employees and contractors involved in engineering projects.
  • Builds and maintains strategic relationships with external partners, vendors, and contractors to support innovation and successful project delivery.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education
Typically requires a 4-year degree in a relevant field.
Experience
  • Typically requires 8 years of related experience.
  • Experience in engineering management or project management of LNG import and export facilities preferred.
