To thrive as a VP Engineer, you need extensive experience in engineering management, a strong technical background—often with a degree in engineering or computer science—and proven leadership in delivering complex projects. Familiarity with project management tools, agile development methodologies, and enterprise-level software and infrastructure systems is typically required. How does a VP Engineer typically collaborate with other departments to align engineering goals with broader business objectives?

As a VP Engineer, you'll frequently work cross-functionally with product management, sales, and executive leadership to ensure engineering initiatives support company-wide goals.
