Welcome to the world of land-based gaming. At Light & Wonder, it's all about the games, and our Gaming team builds cutting-edge technology, products, and content for the most iconic casinos and operators across the globe.

Position Summary

Experience firsthand what it is like to be a creator at Light & Wonder by joining our company as an SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test). With guidance from a qualified SQE, you will develop and execute tests on new and existing products to ensure that they meet the requisite functional, technical, and regulatory compliance and maintain high overall product quality.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Under a Senior Engineer/ Manager supervision; identify test cases, develop and execute test plans and test scripts for new and existing game themes and operating systems

  • Follow requirements and directions provided by Senior Engineer/ Manager

  • Utilize all required databases for SQE functions and testing

  • Introduction and overview of software test methodologies/procedures and overall product development lifecycle

  • Assist in reproduction of issues, when necessary, to assist software development in resolving issues

  • Utilize all required tools/databases for carrying out necessary functions and testing

Qualifications
  • Experience in deriving SQA plans/cases from system requirements

  • Knowledge and experience using Visual Studio

  • Knowledge and experience with C and/or C++

  • Knowledge and experience using Linux/Unix

  • Software Test methodologies and Product Development lifecycle

  • Automation experience a plus

  • Gaming industry experience preferred

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science or equivalent work experience.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Position requires excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with other team members

  • Good time management and organizational skills

  • Detailed oriented and capable of working and completing tasks with minimal supervision

  • Able to work and deliver in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment

  • Real-time embedded systems and/or gaming experience preferred

  • JIRA experiences preferred

  • Experience with Windows desktop applications is required.

  • Agile methodologies preferred

  • Results oriented, risk taking and extensive multi-tasking ability
