Job Title: Quality Assurance Manager
Location: Reno, NV
Employment Type: Full-Time, On-Site

Job Description:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with ISO 9001 and customer requirements.
  • Lead, coach, and manage quality assurance and control staff.
  • Oversee in-process inspections, product verification, corrective/preventive actions (CAPA), and nonconformance management.
  • Maintain quality documentation, inspection plans, and records.
  • Manage internal/external audits, including ISO audits, customer audits, and supplier quality assessments.
  • Track and report on quality metrics such as scrap rates, customer returns, and first-pass yield; conduct root cause investigations and drive improvements.
  • Partner with engineering and production teams to resolve quality issues and support new product introduction (NPI).
  • Ensure compliance with material specifications, drawings, and process parameters specific to composites and radome products.
  • Lead the Material Review Board (MRB) processes and oversee the disposition of nonconforming materials.
  • Support regulatory, safety, and environmental compliance as it relates to quality.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, ownership, and proactive quality practices throughout the facility.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Manufacturing, or related technical field.
  • 5–7 years of quality leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 systems, document control, auditing, and management reviews.
  • Proven experience leading quality teams and driving continuous improvement.
