ACCIONA Energía is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineering Manager to lead our North American Wind Turbine Engineering Support and Major Corrective teams. In this strategic leadership role, you will drive the reliability, performance, and long-term maintenance strategy of a growing portfolio of renewable energy assets, supporting more than 1 GW of renewable assets and the planned development of 3.5 GW of solar PV and battery energy storage projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Maintenance Engineering function and the Major Corrective Team in the scheduling, planning and execution of major component replacements.
  • Utilize installed monitoring systems to forecast major component failures to ensure proper availability of parts to reduce downtime and minimize crane time.
  • Develop and implement annual blade inspection s, preventative maintenance program s , and technical solutions that maximize equipment availability, optimize costs, and deliver best-in-class performance.
  • Monitor operating trends and implement technical and procedural solutions.
  • Lead root cause analyses to identify failure mode s and implement remediation strategies.
  • Ensure work performed at renewable generating facilities conforms to all applicable regulatory and manufacturer requirements.
  • Maintain the technical document management system and ensure accurate maintenance records, procedures, and documentation.
  • Ensure personnel and contractors meet technical and safety requirements by overseeing training, conducting hazard analyses, and developing compliance checks for operating and safety standards.
  • Partner with the Procurement department to manage spare parts and tools , and establish relationships with third-party vendors and contractors.
  • Develop and present the expense budget for the M aintenance E ngineering function.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational and KPI reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead the recruitment, hiring , and development of Maintenance Engineering personnel , provid ing ongoing coaching, performance feedback, and technical training to support employee growth.
  • Maintain required training certifications and proficiencies for self and team.
  • Represent ACCIONA within the industry, including facilitation of professional presentations to national trade groups, and acting as an advisor to industry boards.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned
Required Skills and Competencies Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent experience (advanced degree and/or P.E. license preferred).
  • 5–10 years of operations and maintenance experience in energy facilities; renewable energy experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated engineering problem-solving skills and experience implementing technical solutions.
  • Experience managing maintenance activities, contracts, and technologies across large-scale facilities.
  • Strong commitment to safety and operational excellence.
  • Ability to plan and direct switching and tagging activities for wind farm operations and restoration.
  • Strong analytical, leadership, communication , and organizational skills.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Working knowledge of budgeting and contract administration.
  • Ability to travel up to 40% domestically and internationally.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors and climb vertical ladders up to 300 feet.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a passport.
  • Experience with Maximo is a plus.
  • Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
Pay & Benefits
  • Base Pay: $140,000 to $165,000 (based on skills and experience)
  • 15% Annual Bonus (based on performance and company metrics)
